The TrapStop is a PVC fitting that can be installed in 3 types of fittings: Sanitary "T"s, "Y"s, and strait "T"s. It can be glued or used with rubber gasketed fittings.
The TrapStop allows a plug to be inserted in the service provider's cleanout and screwed down until it contacts with the bottom of the sewer line or in the case of the sanitary "T"s, until the treads bottom out. This restriction eventually stops the flow until the home owner pays their bill. The plug is then removed and service restored. The TrapStop will work with either of the plugs available from other manufactures. |
The Sanitary "T": The TrapStop is installed in the top of a sanitary "T". This installation provides the best access to the sewer service line but doesn't restrict flow as well as other installations.

The "Y": The TrapStop is installed in a "Y" as show. This provides a very sweeping clean out even with a street 45 installed on the outlet. It provides as much restriction as the other fitting on the market.
The strait "T": The strait "T" installation is good only for cutting off flow. This installation is not appropriate for a clean out. It is recommended a second fitting be installed down stream from the Trapstop for clean out purposes if there is not enough fall for the above installations.
